ILLUMINATION SURVEYS/ASSESSMENTS, Sydney Surry Hills
Illumination assessments are a requirement of Occupational Health and Safety law and provide a qualitative indication of the lighting
in a workplace in comparison to Australian Standards.
Illumination surveys are carried out by our highly skilled consultants who visit the workplace or facility and measure the ‘illuminance’
of the site. This is then compared with the Australian Standard and recommendations are made accordingly.
Our service is delivered to both small and large business across both private and public sectors in the industrial and commercial
sectors.
Designed to cover both OH&S regulations and cost saving options to meet the requirements of the law.
The Occupational Health and Safety regulation states that a:
“”...person who, at a workplace, is an employer, the main contractor, a self-employed person, a person having control of the workplace or a person having control of access to the workplace must ensure that lighting for the workplace from natural or artificial sources or both- is adequate having regard to the nature and location of the work being done; and is adequate for the movement of persons about the workplace”.
